🗑️ How to Delete Your Account

You can request deletion of your LepiScan account and all associated data by following either of these methods:

Method 1: Delete from within the App

1. Open the LepiScan app on your device.
2. Go to your Profile page.
3. Tap on "Delete Account".
4. Confirm when prompted. Your account and data will be permanently deleted.

Method 2: Request via Email

1. Send an email to ccffdtatr@gmail.com from the email address associated with your LepiScan account.
2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request – LepiScan".
3. Include your registered email address in the body of the email.
4. We will process your request and delete your account within 7 business days.

📋 What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:

• Account information – email address, display name, and profile data
• Sighting history – all butterfly identification records and observations
• Uploaded images – any photos stored in your account
• Location data – all geographic coordinates associated with your sightings

⏳ Retention Period

Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed immediately from our active systems. Backup copies (if any) are purged within 30 days of the deletion request.

We may retain anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., total species count statistics) that cannot be linked back to your identity, for the purpose of improving app functionality.
