LepiScan ("we", "our", or "the App") is a butterfly identification application developed for educational and conservation purposes. - Photos & Camera: With your permission, the App accesses your device camera or photo gallery so you can capture or select butterfly images for identification. Images are processed on-device using a machine learning model.
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect your approximate or precise location to record where butterfly sightings occur. This helps with biodiversity mapping and conservation efforts.
- Usage Data: We may store identification history and sighting records in Cloud Firestore and Firebase Storage to provide you with a history of your observations.

- Butterfly Identification: Images you provide are analyzed on-device using a TensorFlow Lite model. Images are not sent to external servers for identification.
- Account Management: Your authentication data is used solely to manage your account and personalize your experience.
- Sighting Records: Location and observation data are stored to maintain your sighting history and contribute to butterfly biodiversity records.
- App Improvement: We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve the App's identification accuracy and user experience.

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase services (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage), which employ industry-standard encryption and security practices. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
